TORONTO, ON, September 20, 2016 – Pizza Pizza, Canada’s leading pizza chain, has signed on to become an official sponsor of the World Cup of Hockey 2016, making the company the official pizza restaurant for the event.
As part of the sponsorship, Pizza Pizza will be prominently featured on rinkboards and signage at the World Cup of Hockey 2016 games at the Air Canada Centre (ACC) in Toronto. Hungry hockey fans will have the opportunity to purchase hot and fresh Pizza Pizza slices at concessions throughout the ACC. “Hockey is a Canadian past time and so is enjoying a slice of pizza,” said Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza Pizza. “We’re huge hockey fans and are absolutely thrilled to be a part of the World Cup of Hockey 2016 tournament. Toronto is our hometown and sponsoring events like the World Cup of Hockey 2016 is part of our commitment and contribution to the communities we serve. “
To get fans into the festive spirit, Pizza Pizza will offer a special World Cup of Hockey Combo, two 16” extra-large pepperoni pizzas for $19.98, available for online orders only for a limited time. Customers who purchase the combo will also be automatically entered into a contest for a chance to win tickets to one of the games in Toronto.
