Pizza Pizza’s Commitment to Health and Nutrition

The following options meet both Bill 8 (no added trans fat) and the new Ontario’s School Food and Beverage Policy 2011.  You may “Sell Most” or offer the following pizzas any days.

 All pizzas are based on regular classic dough. You may choose whole wheat multigrain to boost fibre content.
 
* The nutritional information for 2 vegetables pizza is based on mushroom and green pepper, you may choose any one or two from mushroom, roma tomatoes, green peppers and pineapple. The nutritional information is very similar. Nutrition information was obtained through Genesis R & D Nutritional Labelling Software, analysis by Maxxam Analytics Inc., an independent testing laboratory, and supplier provided information.

We care about your health and allergies you or your students may have.  Below are the menu items that are part of Pizza Pizza’s school lunch program.

Classic Dough

Unbleached and enriched wheat flour, spring water, pure canola oil, olive oil, sugar, salt, yeast, baking powder, gluten, diacetyl tartaric acid ester of mono diglycerides, ascorbic acid, amylase.

Allergen: wheat/ gluten

Whole Wheat Multigrain Dough

Whole wheat enriched flour, spring water, pure natural honey, pure canola oil, flax meal, flax seed, oats, wheat germ, barley, olive oil, sugar, salt, yeast, baking powder, gluten, diacetyl tartaric acid ester of mono diglycerides, ascorbic acid, amylase.

FACT:  Whole wheat multigrain dough is made with 25% less sodium than our classic dough.  It is also low in saturated fats, free of cholesterol, and is a good source of Omega-3’s.

Allergen: wheat/gluten

Pizza Sauce

Tomatoes, tomato puree, sugar, salt, modified corn starch, extra virgin olive oil and canola oils, concentrated lemon juice, spices, garlic, natural flavour, citric acid.

Allergen: none

Pizza Mozzarella

Pasteurized milk, modified milk ingredients, bacterial culture, salt, calcium chloride, microbial enzyme. Spice: dehydrated garlic, onion powder, spices, canola oil, calcium silicate.

FACT:  Our cheese is rennet free.

Allergen: milk

Original Pepperoni

Pork, mechanically separated chicken, beef, seasoning (salt, wheat flour, potato starch, spices, natural flavor, dextrose, sodium erythorbate, paprika oil, sodium nitrite), water, textured soy protein, potassium lactate, sodium diacetate.

Allergen: wheat/gluten, soy

Roma Tomato, Mushroom, Green Pepper

Allergen: none

Pineapple

Pineapple tidbits in light syrup - Pineapple tidbits, water, sugar, citric acid, ascorbic acid
