Pizza Pizza donates $5,000 to Community Living Association of South Simcoe Thursday, May 31st, 2012

May 30, 2012 (Toronto) – Pizza Pizza Chief Executive Officer, Paul Goddard, follows up his appearance on the Canadian version of the hit reality show Undercover Boss Canada, with a $5,000 donation to the Community Living Association of South Simcoe (CLASS).

W Network´s Undercover Boss Canada chronicles the journey of CEOs from ten of Canada´s biggest corporations as they join the ranks of their own unsuspecting workforce. Each “boss” undertakes a highly emotional journey as they gain valuable insight on the effects their decisions have on others, the public perception of the company, and get up-close and personal with the unsung heroes of their workforce.

Goddard´s experience with one worker served to leave a lasting impression. The worker´s daughter is a resident at CLASS, a non-profit, charitable organization that supports individuals with an intellectual disability. Inspired by his experience, Goddard was so moved by the individuals family story that he decided to make a donation to the organization on behalf of the company.

“This experience was not only eye-opening from a business perspective, but also on a highly personal level as well,” said Goddard. “I was truly inspired by the tireless effort these employees give day after day to the company. Giving back felt like the best and only way to show how much their efforts are appreciated.”
